Suzie Cranford has been singing since as long as she can remember. She grew
up with both parents in a Classic Rock cover band, and was recorded at age 4
singing "The First Cut is the Deepest." The first singer she could identify
by ear was Tom Petty—her dad was super proud!
Suzie took piano lessons from ages 4 to 13 and is a self-taught guitarist.
She won her middle school talent competition with a wild rendition of
"Still Into You” by Paramore.
As an adult she spends her time selling vintage clothing through her online
Etsy shop,
Newfoundgoodies,
and singing at retirement homes with the
Sunshine Singers
through the Arts and Aging Network.
Suzie's influences include a wide range of outstanding artists such as
Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney, Blondie, The Velvet
Underground, The Doors, The Kinks, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers,
Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and The Talking Heads.
